Au Caribou — Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan,

Fantastic campground right on the beach. Warm welcome from one of the owners. They were done giving boat tours for the season, so sent us a different company. Hot showers in a spotless bathroom, clean sites. We chose a grassy one to avoid sand in our car. Nice kayak paddle along the village beach to see a small rorqual, great stars and sunrise. Clothes washer takes $2 in quarters. Only thing keeping us from a second night was wanting a night in Natashquan.

We stayed 3 nights at the campgrounds. We stayed in a cabin and a large trailer. The cabin is newly renovated with a murphy bed, stove and refrigerator. The water source is outside. The trailer was renovated and included a washroom, water and a microwave. Both locations have fantastic views of the river where you will see seals, whales and birds. The beach is really nice! The toilets are a bit dated but clean. The staff are very informative and passionate about the area. The other guests onsite are really kind and friendly.

Stayed at the campground for 2 nights and was really nice. Right on the beach, can see whales from your site. Staff are friendly and did an excellent job trying to accommodate we only spoke english. Took the 3 hour tour as well and really enjoyed it! Great value for the money and 10 % Is offered if you camp and take the tour which is amazing. Washrooms and showers are only for cabin + those tenting. Have onsite laundry but their dryer failed to dry any of our laundry which is unfortunate as it is expensive at $2/load.
