Getaway Pass
$999
per season · renews annually if you choose
  • 30 nights at any Northern Stay campground
  • $0 per night — the pass covers all stays
  • Book up to 60 days in advance
  • Valid at all campgrounds across Canada
  • 14-day refund (conditions apply) from date of purchase
  • No auto-renewal — you decide each season
No hidden fees on either plan. The membership price is the full price for campground access. Water and power are included at every RV site — no separate hookup fees.
What the $79/month maintenance fee covers: The monthly fee keeps the infrastructure running that makes your membership worth having — the online booking platform, a dedicated booking coordinator, active campground partnership agreements, network vetting and quality standards, member support, and the ongoing addition of new parks (currently averaging 5 new campgrounds added per month — 78 active parks as of the 2026 season). If you're choosing a seasonal-access product, you want the operations behind it to be properly funded. A network without that investment degrades quickly.
Add-ons & upgrades:
  • Park Hopper — $149/month during the camping season, billed alongside your $79 maintenance fee, automatically drops off in the off-season. Removes the 7-day between-stay cooldown so you can move freely across the network.
  • Winter Explorer Add-On (Lifestyle members) — $4,499 one-time + $69/month during winter months. Extends your access to select partner parks outside the standard May 1–Oct 31 season.
  • Perks section — beyond core campground access, the member portal includes a Perks section with special offers at partner campgrounds: glamping packages, guided excursions, unique on-site experiences, and more. These are optional add-ons at deeply discounted rates — often 85% or more off the retail price. Not part of the core membership, but included in the portal for members who want more than a standard site.
No sales calls. Full pricing, all rules, published online. Unlike most private camping clubs, Northern Stay publishes its complete pricing, membership rules, refund policy, and usage limits on the website. No booking a call to "learn more," no waiting for a quote. If you have questions, email admin@northernstay.com or call 1-226-667-8437 — but you shouldn't need to just to understand what you're buying.

When the Lifestyle Membership makes sense

The Lifestyle Membership is $4,999 upfront + $79/month. It's not for occasional campers — it's for families who camp 30+ nights a season and want no annual renewal, up to 180 days of seasonal access, and better booking priority.

Getaway Pass — 5 seasons
$4,995
30 nights × 5 seasons
Lifestyle — 5 seasons
$9,739
Up to 180 days/season × 5 seasons
The Lifestyle Membership pays off when you need the full season. If you camp 30+ nights regularly, the Getaway Pass cap means you'd pay nightly for anything beyond. The Lifestyle gives you up to 180 days (May 1–Oct 31) with no per-night charges — subject to a max 21 nights per 28-day cycle (14 at Premium parks). Move freely between campgrounds within a cycle — the 7-day break only applies after the full allowance is used. The optional Park Hopper Upgrade ($149/month during the camping season) removes this requirement. The $79/month maintenance fee is charged year-round regardless of usage. The membership can be transferred once through Northern Stay's marketplace, subject to their approval and a $99 admin fee.

Is 6 months of camping every year worth $4,999?

The Lifestyle Membership isn’t a seasonal pass. It’s permanent access to 180 days of camping per year — every year, indefinitely — for a single upfront payment. After that, $79/month is all you ever pay. Where else do you get 6 months of accommodation for one flat price, forever?

Figures shown are the complete cost
All comparisons based on 90 nights of accommodation per season across Canada. Hotel rate: $216/night Canadian industry average (2025). Airbnb: $120–$150/night average for outdoor cabin and cottage listings. Seasonal cabin: $2,000/month average ($1,500–$2,500 range) × 6 months. Seasonal RV park: $2,500–$3,500 Canadian average for one fixed seasonal site. Nightly campground: $64/night. Lifestyle Membership: $4,999 upfront + $79/month year-round. Figures do not account for inflation, which will increase all non-Lifestyle costs over time while the Lifestyle rate remains fixed.
Locked-in pricing

Your rate is set the day you join. Cabin rentals, RV parks, and campground nightly rates all go up with inflation. Your $79/month stays at $79/month.

You never lose days

No “use it or lose it.” Camp 20 nights one year, 180 the next. Access doesn’t expire and lighter years don’t cost you more.

78+ campgrounds

A seasonal RV park spot gives you one fixed location. The Lifestyle gives you access to the entire network — move between campgrounds freely throughout the season.

Predictable budget

One fixed monthly cost, no surprises. Particularly valuable on a fixed income — you know exactly what six months of camping costs you every year for the rest of your life.

90 nights in a hotel runs $194,400 over 10 years. Airbnb cabins: $121,500. A seasonal cabin rental: $120,000 (utilities not included). Nightly campground booking: $57,600. A seasonal RV park at one fixed location: $30,000 — and you go to the same spot every year.

The Lifestyle Membership: $14,479 over 10 years — with access to 78+ campgrounds across Canada, the freedom to move, and a rate that never goes up.

Pricing FAQ

Can I try Northern Stay before buying?
There's no ongoing free trial, but every membership includes a 14-day refund (conditions apply) from the purchase date. Join, access the full member portal, check campground availability and calendars, and if it's not right for you, request a refund within 14 days of purchase. Any nights already stayed are deducted at the public nightly rate. See full conditions at northernstay.com/refunds.
Does the price include all campgrounds, or are some extras?
The Getaway Pass covers all standard Northern Stay campgrounds — these represent the majority of the network. The Lifestyle Membership also includes premium park sites, which may include locations with more amenities or higher-demand sites. All included campgrounds are listed in the member portal once you join, and you can verify any specific location is covered before committing.
Will the price go up? Is this locked in?
Current pricing is $999 for the Getaway Pass and $4,999 + $79/month for the Lifestyle Membership. As the network grows, Northern Stay may adjust pricing for new members. If you're considering joining and pricing is a factor, the current rate is the rate you'll see when you click through to the membership page. Existing members are not retroactively repriced.
Do unused nights from the Getaway Pass roll over?
The Getaway Pass covers 30 nights in a season. Unused nights do not roll over to the next season — the pass is valid for the season purchased. The season is defined at time of purchase. If you know you'll camp 30+ nights, consider the Lifestyle Membership for full seasonal access (up to 180 days per season).
Is there a family rate or multi-person discount?
Northern Stay memberships are per-household/unit, not per-person — the Getaway Pass covers your group's stay at a campground site. There is no separate per-person charge for members using the same site. Guest fees may apply if your party exceeds standard site occupancy at a specific park, which is set by the individual campground and disclosed in the listing.
