China Creek Campground is a gateway to outdoor adventure on Vancouver Island’s west coast. The Alberni Inlet offers calm waters and scenic routes for kayaking, fishing, and wildlife viewing. The surrounding Alberni Valley is known for its hiking opportunities and access to wilderness areas, while the marina provides convenient access for boaters traveling between Port Alberni, Barkley Sound, and the Broken Group Islands.

Park Rules & General Policies ▾

The Marina & Facilities Attendants, Marina Coordinators and the Manager of Campground & Marina Facilities will enforce the Campground Rules and Policies. Warnings will be issued for violations of the user policies and rules, which may lead to removal from the property. Abuse or foul language toward our staff and management will not be tolerated. Aggressive misconduct may result in eviction from the campground and/or marina.

Fire Policy ▾

Due to the high risk at China Creek, fires are not permitted on the beach. Though we do allow campfires, we encourage visitors to bring a propane fire pit, so they can safely enjoy a campfire. We offer a propane tank exchange program.

Pet Policy ▾

All pet owners must sign our China Creek Campground Pet Pledge. Use of the Dog Park is at the owner’s risk. Dogs must always be on a leash and under the care and control of a competent individual, including at the beach. Dogs are not allowed on the marina floats other than to or from your boat. No aggressive dogs allowed. Dogs will have to leave if displaying aggressive behavior or excessive barking

Vehicle & RV Policy ▾

All vehicles and trailers must be registered at the office and display valid parking permits. Additional vehicles and/or trailers must be parked in parking lot and are subject to parking fees. Vehicles not displaying permit(s), parked outside of designated parking areas or in accessible parking spots without a displayed sign will be towed at the owner’s expense. Speed limit in the park is 10 km per hour. Please drive with caution at all times.

Quiet Hours ▾

Quiet hours are enforced from 10pm - 8am. Please be respectful of neighbouring sites.
